An alliance made by two of famous car company, Fiat and Chrysler. The alliance announced that the operation of parts and service their products will be made by Mopar, a subsidiary of Chrysler.
Merging the service done to the cost efficiency of both brands. In addition, to overcome barriers aftersales service from both models of automobile brand that sold in certain markets. Mopar will provide parts support fluency activity which very quickly between regions, without adding the cost of recording and repackaging. Therefore cost efficiencies will be achieved.
Recently CEO of Mopar, Pietro Gorlier revealed that the integration and sharing platform Fiat-Chrysler is the basis for Mopar to create a good after-sales service. Mopar is the ideal brand to become a global umbrella for the supply of parts and service.
On the anniversary of Mopar to 75, they introduced a new packaging design in the center of engineering laboratories in Michigan, USA. The new packaging design contains a Mopar logo side by side with 10 car brands under the Fiat-Chrysler alliance, such as Dodge, Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Chrysler, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep and RAM SRT.
However, special packaging is retained for the transformation kits Abarth brand, SRT performance engine parts and Alfa Romeo parts. The distribution package of the new packaging is planned to start running in the second half of this in 2012.
